Game on is the first international traveling exhibition that explores the history and culture of video games. Curated by the Barbican Center in London, it was first inaugurated at its headquarters in 2002, and since then it has traveled to more than 30 countries. It now arrives in Madrid, to the underground water tank of the Canal de Isabel II destined for large exhibitions.
The exhibition design connects with the 80s, the golden age of video games in which the first experiments with vector graphics were carried out, where they managed to recreate pseudo-3D environments that, despite technological limitations, achieved a very convincing perspective and movement effect. . This “vectorial” aesthetic has established itself as a graphic reference in the world of videogames, and is the starting point with which to shape the exhibition space; a series of lines of light that following different rhythms and geometries will create the identity of each exhibition area.
