Instituto Cervantes, Madrid, mar- jun 2022
The exhibition recalls the figure and work of the writer (1921-2004), one of the most influential of the 20th century and whose centenary began in September 2021. The exhibition covers the career and literary creation of Laforet through more than two hundred of original works and reproductions.
Carmen Laforet managed to conquer millions of readers from all eras and continents with a voice that shines beyond the scope that marked the appearance of Nada: the Spain of the immediate postwar period. He had the audacity to raise his voice in a predominantly masculine literary world, opening a path in Spanish narrative whose keys consist of naturalness, the ability to build dialogues and reflect the psychology of characters with which to give life to the contradictions of the human heart.
